An outstanding 15% increase in attendance at China’s Leading Outbound Travel Exhibition COTTM 2015

The China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market (COTTM) Exhibition held earlier this month in Beijing, saw an amazing 7% increase in exhibitors with over 350 participants from 65 different countries.

Each exhibitor showcased their destination and travel services to 3,800 leading outbound tour operators from all over China, an outstanding 15% increase on previous years. The 11th edition of the show confirmed COTTM’s undisputed status as the industry’s definitive business to business event for outbound tourism.
 
COTTM 2015 welcomed brand new destinations such as Albania, the Dominican Republic and Madrid. Furthermore, a number of destinations made a welcome return to COTTM such as Fiji, Ghana and the NTA (USA) demonstrating the truly global reach of the show.

The Luxury Travel Showcase at COTTM launched back in 2012 and this year 11 high-end luxury travel companies participated making it the biggest yet. 
 
Each of the individual participants had a full schedule of meetings with carefully selected qualified high-end visitors. 
 
The Luxury Travel Showcase will return again next year as a source for International suppliers to instantly find Chinese high-end travel buyers for their products.
 
A significant increase in COTTM Conference attendance year on year with standing room only in many sessions has now ensured that it requires its own identity and brand. 
 
This year saw a full 3 day seminar and workshop programme consisting of targeted sessions designed to address key issues and learning requirements of both exhibitors and visitors. Attracting interest from an audience wanting to find out more about topics as diverse as outbound tourism trends, future challenges, commercial opportunities and government policies.
 
The next edition of COTTM will take place 12-14 April 2016, at the National Agricultural Exhibition Centre, Beijing.
