Emirates Foundation announces support for GEF 2010
The Global Education Forum (GEF), the premier event for the region’s growing education sector, has received the official support of the Emirates Foundation for the third consecutive year. The philanthropic organisation, established by the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will partner with GESS to help stimulate intellectual growth and increase access to educational and technological resources in the UAE.
Ms. Khuloud Al Nuwais, Director of Projects from Emirates Foundation said: “The Emirates Foundation is committed to fostering the development of an education system that uses national resources to implement best global educational practices which produce independent, qualified Emirati citizens. For this reason, an event such as GEF which brings leading international experts to the region and provides a platform to share global best practices with educational professionals in the UAE is essential to the continued development of the UAE’s education system.”
The Emirates Foundation’s support of GEF represents the latest initiative in a wide ranging education programme developed by the organisation which focuses on learning processes, parental interest and community participation, and curriculum development.

GEF is the conference that sits at the heart of the Gulf Education Supplies and Solutions Show (GESS) taking place from 23-25 February 2010. GESS is the only regional education event that addresses the entire spectrum of educational needs, from early years to higher education. It already has 200 confirmed exhibitors participating at this year’s event which is held at the Airport Expo Centre, Dubai.
