Ministry of Education and F&E partner to donate education technology to local school
With the patronage of the Ministry of Education, F&E, the organisers of GESS (Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions), the Middle East’s leading educational supply and solutions event, has donated state-of-the-art education equipment to the Ahmed Bin Majed School for Boys in Ras Al Khaimah.
The school, which has more than XXX students received a range of leading educational technology which will help support the school’s academic achievements. The donation continues to demonstrate F&E’s ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Education in supporting education in the UAE by providing access to world class resources for schools. .
With support from key GESS exhibitors, Promethean, Al Mazroui Medical and Chemical Supplies and Palmer Hamilton Europe Ltd, the Ahmed Bin Majed School for Boys received a state-of-the-art ActivBoard+2 300 Pro model whiteboard, two extensive science kits and a Palmer Hamilton Folding Dining Table. In addition F&E donated 10 new HP computers to the school.

Promethean, a leading global provider of interactive education technology solutions, ensured that the local school had the latest interactive whiteboard on the market in the form of the ActivBoard+2 300 Pro model which features built-in speakers, an integrated amplifier and two USB ports.

UAE-based Al Mazroui Medical and Chemical Supplies provided two complete science kits complete with the essential physics, chemistry and biology equipment required for the successful teaching of science in the school. The local company provides science equipment to more than 300 schools across the region.

The school also received a Palmer Hamilton Folding Dining Table designed to enhance the cafeteria environment and cater to the ever-changing needs of school cafeteria dining. The Folding Dining Table will help transform the school’s cafeteria into an enticing environment for students and staff.

The donation was made possible thanks to the logistical input of Airlink which ensured the safe delivery of all equipment to the school.
GESS 2010 will run from 23-25 February 2010 in conjunction with the Global Education Forum at the Airport Expo Centre, Dubai.
