Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) is organizing the first regional Teacher Skills Forum 2014.
The Teacher Skills Forum aims to bring to draw attention to the pressing educational needs of the region by emphasizing the importance of placing literacy, math and science competencies at the heart of learning to prepare our students for the 21st century workforce.
The Teacher Skills Forum offers a unique opportunity for teachers to be explore the latest developments, practices, and technologies available to improve teaching and learning practices in the classroom. Workshops will be offered in Arabic and English throughout the duration of the forum, to meet the varying needs of teachers in the region.
The Teacher Skills Forum The forum will be a two day event to be held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre, at the Dead Sea on 6 & 7 December 2014.
The Teacher Skills Forum will have plenary sessions from renowned colleges and universities, workshop sessions led by highly skilled educators in the field, teacher and professional led activities, exhibitions and demonstrations, reflective sessions, and much more. It will be structured along six major academic strands: Mathematics, Literacy in Arabic, Technology in Education, Sciences, Literacy in English, and General Pedagogies.
