If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. African Proverb.

Today’s 181 words comment is on the J curvegrowth of online learning due to the global pandemic.  …teachers have the knowledge to embrace online learning, with maybe a couple of lessons for their own skill development.

My message is ‘do what you do in your classroom, online’.

Take time to observe how the students are, have the usual joke with them and be yourself.  You shouldn’t change your teaching persona because you are online.  There will be time constraints, the forgotten book, the need for new skills or the inattentive student, what’s new?  We know a good teacher has good interaction with their students.  They are the mentor/facilitator for their students and their learning.  Nothing has changed because the class is online!

Maybe, there is a greater need for students to have a familiar face, other than their isolation friends.

If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. African Proverb.
