Ministry of Education Selects Emirates Facilities Management to Service 67 Schools in Remote Locations in the UAE
More than 40,000 students from 67 government schools across the remote Eastern regions of the UAE, which include Dibba, Kalba and Khorfakkan, will benefit from advanced facilities management as part of a one year contract between the UAE Ministry of Education and Emirates Facilities Management LLC, a leading provider of integrated facilities management (FM) services.
The venture is in line with the Ministry of Education's drive to ensure that all government schools in the UAE, including those located in smaller townships, enjoy the same high standards in facilities management.
Under the contract, Emirates Facilities Management will deliver FM services to schools that function under the direct purview of the Ministry of Education. The services will include ensuring the efficient functioning of electromechanical systems, HVAC systems, and the upkeep of water supplies. Students will also benefit from a superior quality of indoor air with Emirates Facilities Management relying on eco-friendly cleaning agents and procedures rather than chemical-based products.
Commenting on the new partnership with the Ministry of Education, Jaber Al Ali, General Manager of Emirates Facilities Management, said: "We are happy that the Ministry of Education has entrusted us with the responsibility to upkeep schools in remote areas of the country. Given the fact that children are prone to accidents and exposed to infectious diseases during their time at school, our priority to ensure health, hygiene and safety in schools assumes greater significance. We are confident that the UAE government schools will benefit from our best-in-class FM practices that we aim to deploy through our large network of service centres and access to state-of-the-art technologies."
Currently, Emirates Facilities Management deploys services to the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Emirates Post, Dubai Health Authority, Etisalat Academy, Emirates Transport, and the Emirates Identity Authority. The FM company is considered among the few in the country that are equipped to meet the stringent service needs of asset-intensive sectors such as utilities, oil and gas, call centres, schools and universities, and hospitals.
