Start your business via SimVenture simulation game
Venture Simulations Ltd will unveil its award-winning business simulation game at Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) 2009, targeting the Middle East education sector particularly business colleges and universities.
Participating for the first time at GESS 2009 on 10-12 March at Dubai's Airport Expo Centre, Venture Simulations will demonstrate SimVenture, the UK's Serious Game of the Year, to the local and regional visitors and educationists. Using SimVenture, students as young as 15 years old are provided with a powerful educational resource on business, enterprise and related subjects.
"GESS is a new event that provides opportunities to research new markets specifically in the Middle East. The event is a perfect venue for us to meet with distributors and seek partnerships with any educational institutions looking for innovative ways to teach people about business and entrepreneurship," said Peter Harrington, Director, Venture Simulations Ltd.
"While most people dream of running their own business, students can now actually setup and run their own virtual company in an engaging way without the worry of associated risks. SimVenture is contributing to the business education knowledge and skills of young adults with a strong impact on regional and national economies," he added.
SimVenture is a flexible resource containing a wealth of up-to-date information easily integrated into any business curriculum. Used in a variety of learning environments, the simulation game has incorporated core elements featuring business start-up and entrepreneurship.
SimVenture can be played individually or by groups of students offering a hands-on experience of a real business environment including the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur. A powerful learning resource used by universities, colleges and schools, the challenging game is highly engaging, authentic, and develops teamwork as well as greater entrepreneurial thinking.
"The Middle East is fast developing in almost every aspect and is currently becoming the business portal for both Eastern and Western countries. Through GESS, the company is able to showcase SimVenture as an alternative way to teach young students how to set-up their own business in the future," said Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director of Fairs & Exhibitions, organisers of GESS 2009.
Venture Simulations will demonstrate SimVenture at stand number 308 in GESS. The company is providing free demonstration copies of the software to visitors and delegates at the show.
