China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market

COTTM (China Outbound Travel & Tourism) is the only business to business exhibition in China dedicated to the outbound travel market.

COTTM is proud to be entering its 7th year and is well established in the industry calendar as the most important B2B travel event in China. Taking place over 3 days, COTTM is a unique business platform for international countries to showcase their destinations and services to the increasingly mobile and expanding Chinese outbound market.

The Chinese outbound market is developing at an impressive rate; according to the CNTA (China National Tourism Administration) in 2015 China will be the no.1 source of tourism in the world. By 2020 this figure is predicted to be 100 million travellers per year.  As the Chinese economy continues to grow, and disposable incomes increase, the number of Chinese business and leisure travellers exploring new countries will continue to expand.

In 2010, COTTM welcomed 230 exhibitors from 55 different countries, as well as several new destinations to the exhibition, who all recognise COTTM as the vital place to meet the key decision makers from the Chinese outbound travel market. The new destinations included Croatia, Israel, Indonesia & Tanzania; as well as a Caribbean and Japanese Pavilion.

COTTM also runs a comprehensive conference programme alongside the exhibition, which informs and educates about the latest trends in the Chinese outbound travel industry. In co-operation with COTRI (Chinese Outbound Travel Research Institute), COTTM hosts a series of workshops and presentations for all to attend.

COTTM is supported by a wide range of trade associations such as the National Tour Association, the Pacific Asia Travel Association, and the European Tour Operators Association. COTTM is also supported by a number of media trade titles in China and internationally.
